PlayStation Plus offers 10 LEGO games made by Traveller’s Tales across the Extra and Premium memberships. Before I get into this list, most of these games play pretty similarly, and chances are you’ll get the most enjoyment if you choose the game based on your favorite franchise. But now that that’s out of the way, here are my rankings of the best LEGO games on the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium.

What Lego Games are on PlayStation Plus Premium?
There are 8 total LEGO games on PS Plus Premium, but they’re primarily from the PS3 era. Here are all the available games:
- LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes
- LEGO Batman: The Videogame
- LEGO Harry Potter Collection
- LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues
- LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures
- LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game
- LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
- LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
10: LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues
Service: PlayStation Plus Premium
LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues attempted to shake up the formula with new features. However, Traveller’s Tales went too far and made some choices that hampered the overall experience. They lowered the number of secrets in the primary levels, and the new hub worlds are confusing to navigate. The level editor feature is cool but could have been more user accessible.
I’m putting it at number 10 on this list because this game tries to improve the formula, but it’s a misfire. If you want to play a LEGO Indiana Jones game, I recommend the original, as it is a much better choice.
9: LEGO Batman: The Videogame
Service: PlayStation Plus Premium
The first LEGO Batman game was the first game in the series that had its own story separate from a movie tie in, but that was the most significant change. This game came out before Telltale introduced split screen, and it suffers when you’re playing on couch co-op.
The first LEGO Batman is a fun game, but playing it in 2023 feels dated, especially when there are more recent entries with better quality-of-life aspects. So, I’m putting it at number 9 on this list.
8: LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
Service: PlayStation Plus Premium
Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is overall a great time, but it’s not quite as good as the other games in the series. You get to play with DC superhero and villain favorites in a fun way, and the game is stocked with classic LEGO surprises and challenges. The world feels smaller to it’s predecessor though, which feels like a step backwards. Story-wise, they went a little too hard on the comedy side. Sometimes, it feels like they’re making fun of source material, especially with the weird cameos like Conan O’Brien.
The game is a fun experience overall, but it doesn’t feel up to par with some of the other LEGO games on this list, so I’m putting it at number 8.
7: LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
Service: PlayStation Plus Premium
LEGO Star Wars III follows the storylines in the hit TV show Star Wars: The Clone Wars. There are few gameplay changes outside of TellTale, adding some small real-time strategy elements, but overall, it feels like a new story in the same old game.
If you’re a fan of the TV show, you’ll be a fan of this game, but other than that, it’s a classic LEGO game that doesn’t shake up the formula, which is why it’s number 7.
6: The LEGO Movie Videogame
Service: PlayStation Plus Premium
The LEGO Movie Videogame was a movie tie-in to, you guessed it, The Lego Movie. Although there’s nothing wrong with this game, it just doesn’t feel like it got as much time in development as the other entries in the series. They added no new aspects to the formula. The game follows the film directly and uses movie footage for the cutscenes, so it is a fun way to experience the story differently.
I’m putting this as number 6 since the final product felt rushed, which is disappointing, but the core LEGO formula still works.
5: LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures
Service: PlayStation Plus Premium
This was Traveller’s Tales’ first pivot away from the Star Wars franchise, and it was a welcome addition to the LEGO games series. Although this felt like they only pulled the formula LEGO Star Wars and applied it to Indiana Jones, it’s still a blast to play. The story follows Indy on his first three fan-favorite adventures.
It takes up the 5th place spot on this list since my only complaint about this title is the lack of the Splitscreen when playing couch co-op. But that’s easy to get past if you’re playing solo.
4: LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game
Service: PlayStation Plus Premium
LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean is a blast, especially if you’re a fan of the movies or the LEGO games. The gameplay is easy to understand and follows the established formula. You’ll spend a lot of time trying to collect everything in the game, and having all four movies included keeps the game exciting.
The music in the game is fantastic because it features some of Hans Zimmer’s best music from the films. Even though the characters don’t talk, they still show a lot of emotion.
However, the game has some problems. It has no online features, the puzzles can be confusing, and the controls could be better, so I’m putting it in 4th place on this list.
3: LEGO Harry Potter Collection
Service: PlayStation Plus Premium
The LEGO Harry Potter Collection is a great package that includes multiple LEGO games. It allows you to play through the entire Harry Potter series. Until Hogwarts Legacy came out, some considered this the best Harry Potter game ever.
It did miss the chance to combine the two games like LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga did, and they only made minor changes. But the Harry Potter Franchise fits the LEGO game mold perfectly. Hogwarts is lovely to explore and find secrets in, and Telltale puts so much attention to detail in this world.
I’m slotting this in position number 3 because this collection is a real treat for Harry Potter and LEGO game fans. If you are both, it’s a perfect choice for you.
2: LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
Service: PlayStation Plus Premium
The Complete Saga merged the first two hit LEGO Star Wars games released by Traveler’s Tales and made it an enjoyable experience. They made Mos Eisley Cantina the hub for the first 6 movies, and every character was available to play in every movie. Regarding updates, they applied all the new popular features from the second to the first game so returning players had something unique on their second go around.
Putting this at number 2 on this list might sound hypocritical. But I’m giving it a pass since it was made so early, and it offers the complete package for any Star Wars fan.
1: LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes
Service: PlayStation Plus Premium
LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes was the first game that featured voice acting, and it’s such an excellent addition to the series. Like the other games, you must collect studs by playing the game to unlock characters and find secrets. But this time, they added a vast open world map that’s a joy to navigate.
If you have PlayStation Plus Premium, you want to play a LEGO game, and you don’t care which franchise you play, This is the title for you. It’s an added bonus if you are a DC Comics fan.
