Summary:
- If you have PS Plus Extra, you can now play Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. But if you want to play the first three games, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, you’ll have to upgrade to the PS Plus Premium to access the Nathan Drake Collection.
- Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is the most recent entry in the series, but it’s also the shortest. The gameplay is smooth, and the story is great despite being the only entry without Nathan Drake.
- Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune is the first game in the series, and you can tell. The story and gameplay hold up well, considering it came out in 2007. But it’s definitely the weakest entry in the series.
- Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was the game that put the series on the map. It’s the highest rated on Metacritic and still holds up today. The story and gameplay are executed so well it’s hard to come up with any complaints.
- Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is an underrated game, all things considered. It is overshadowed by its predecessor, but it gives you an emotional story that gives insight into how Nate and Sully’s relationship started.
- Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is the last main game in the Uncharted series featuring Nathan Drake, and it’s an excellent sendoff for him. It’s the first game in the series built for PS4, and the gameplay and visuals take full advantage of it.
Nowadays, everyone who knows anything about gaming knows about the legendary developer Naughty Dog. They’ve brought us classic series like Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter, and The Last of Us. But the Uncharted series was the one that cemented its dominance in the gaming industry.
Now that PlayStation is making it easier to play older games with PS Plus Extra and Premium, I thought it was time to rank the games you can access on the services. Here’s my ranking for the best Uncharted games you can play on Sony’s membership plan.

What Uncharted Games are on PlayStation Plus Extra?
PS Plus Extra members can access the made-for PS4 titles Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.
What Uncharted Games are on PlayStation Plus Premium?
The first three titles in the series, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, are all available on PS Plus Premium through the Nathan Drake Collection.
5: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune is the first game in the series, and it changed the way people think about video games. The game introduces a hero named Nathan Drake and his world of treasure hunters and thieves. Nate has a good relationship with his mentor, Sully, which is enjoyable to watch. The story is simple, but the characters, fights, and big moments make it a spectacle.
Since it’s the first game in the series, it’s not as good as the newer ones. But it’s still a fun game, even if it came out almost 15 years ago. Overall Drake’s Fortune is an excellent start to the series. It’s available on PS Plus Premium through the Nathan Drake Collection.
Is the Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune Platinum Trophy Hard?
On the difficulty scale, I’d put it as a 5.5/10, or medium. In order to get the first Uncharted platinum, you’ll have to play it on Crushing difficulty to get all of the ‘Charted!’ trophies. If you miss all the collectibles while playing, you can return to those parts using chapter select, so it’s okay to accomplish.
Most guides estimate it’ll take about 15 hours to get all the trophies, but it could vary depending on if you plan on getting it on one playthrough.
4: Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is the most recent entry in the series, and it’s the only game not to feature Nathan Drake as the main character. The game stars Chloe Frazer, introduced to the franchise in the second game as a supporting character, and her mercenary friend Nadine. The plot is similar to the other games, meaning they’re racing to find an ancient artefact before their enemies while battling them on the way. But despite the similar formula, the game is still fun to play, and the story is interesting.
However, this game was initially planned as an add-on DLC to Uncharted 4: a Thief’s End, and you can tell. It takes 7 hours to beat the story vs. Uncharted 4’s 15 hours, which is my biggest complaint about the game. But it’s a PS4 game made by Naughty Dog, so it’s still an awesome title, and it’s available on PS Plus Extra.
Is the Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Platinum Trophy Hard?
This one is considered the easiest platinum trophy out of all the Uncharted games. The Lost Legacy has no speedrun or multiplayer trophies, which is good news. So you only have to play the game once through if you play on crushing.
If you take the one playthrough route, it should take most players about 20 hours to get the plat.
3: Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception
Many people think Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is a great game, but it doesn’t get as much love as it should. It wasn’t as groundbreaking as its predecessor, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great game.
Uncharted 3 has its own excellent levels and a story that makes you feel a lot of emotions and more of a connection to Nate while we travel across the world.
Uncharted 3 does a great job of developing Nathan Drake’s character and making us care about what happens to him. The game isn’t quite as memorable as Uncharted 2, but it’s still a great game that people should play. It’s available on PS Plus Premium through the Nathan Drake Collection.
Is the Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Platinum Trophy Hard?
It’s not too tricky. Like its two predecessors, you can get the Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Thieves platinum trophy in one playthrough. But you’ll have to play it on Crushing difficulty. Collecting all the treasures isn’t too bad, and you can still access them easily with the chapter select after you beat it.
Most guides estimate it’ll take about 15 hours to get all the trophies, but it could vary if you choose not to play on crushing difficulty the first go around.
2: Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is a great game that made Nathan Drake famous. It’s pretty over the top in the best ways. You end up climbing on broken trains and fighting in falling-apart buildings.
When the game was unveiled for the first time, people were really excited. But when the entire game came out, it was even better than people expected.
At some points in the game, it felt like more of a movie than a video game, which is common with AAA games nowadays, but at the time, it was groundbreaking. The game still holds up today, and it’s a delight to play in the Nathan Drake Collection. It’s available on PS Plus Premium through the Nathan Drake Collection.
Is the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Platinum Trophy Hard?
It’s moderately difficult to get the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves platinum trophy, but it’s possible in one playthrough. However, you’ll have to play it on Crushing difficulty. Don’t worry if you miss any treasures; you can go back quickly using chapter select.
Most guides estimate it’ll take about 15 hours to get all the trophies, but it could vary depending on how you tackle it.
1: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is the last main game in the Uncharted series featuring Nathan Drake. Who is pulled back into the world of adventure after being visited by his long-lost brother Sam.
It was the first game in the series to be on the PS4, and it takes full advantage of it. The graphics are amazing, and you can interact more with the environment. The introduction of Sam also adds an emotional core to the story, allowing players to learn more about Drake and his past.
Uncharted 4 has some incredible moments, including a thrilling car chase through the streets of Madagascar. While it does feel similar to the previous games, many aspects have been upgraded, and it’s a great way for Drake to end his adventures. It’s available on PS Plus Extra.
Is the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Platinum Trophy Hard?
Uncharted 4 is the toughest game to platinum in the series. You’ll have to do multiple playthroughs, and a speedrun challenge, so enjoy the game before focusing on trophies.
Don’t worry about missing trophies because you can go back and get them via chapter select. It’s not recommended to start with crushing difficulty since you can unlock gameplay modifiers after your first playthrough, which can make your Crushing playthrough much easier.
It should take most players about 30 hours to complete the platinum, making it the longest series.
